We clear the property. You get a firm price first.

Estate clean-outs, property clear-outs, and junk removal—carefully handled, clearly priced.

How it works

Three steps, no surprises

01

Send photos or call

Text us four or five photos and we'll give you a price range within the hour — free, no pressure, no account to create.

02

Free on-site quote

We walk the space and give you a firm written number before anyone touches anything. That number is what you pay.

03

We clear it and clean up

Most jobs happen the same visit. We protect floors and doorways, sweep the space, and can provide completion photos for remote families and professionals.

Pricing

Our prices are on the website. Most aren't.

You pay for the space your material fills in the truck — not by the hour and not per item. Rates include labor, loading, transport, disposal fees, recycling, and donation drop-off.

Heavy material$185 per ton for concrete, dirt, tile, brick, or roofing. Priced by weight, never by volume — so you never overpay.
Same-day service$45. We can usually do it, which most companies out here can't.

Clearing a family home, done properly

The hardest jobs we do are also the ones we're built for. If you're an executor, trustee, or family member facing a house full of a lifetime's belongings, here's how we work.

Most of our estate clients are handling this from out of state, in the middle of everything else. We're built for that — video walk-throughs, photo approvals at each stage, and a documented record at the end.

We find things before we move things

Every drawer, book, pocket, freezer, and container gets checked by hand before a single item is loaded. Cash, jewelry, savings bonds, and original documents turn up constantly.

Anything of apparent value goes into a photographed hold area. You decide what matters — never us.

Documentation for the estate file

  • Before-and-after photos of every room
  • Room-by-room disposition log
  • Itemized donation receipts in the estate's name
  • Landfill weight tickets on request

We don't buy anything

We're a clean-out company, not a buyer, and we keep that line bright on purpose. Nothing we recommend disposing of is ever something we profit from.

We also work fine with out-of-state executors — video walk-throughs, photo approvals, e-signed authorizations. You don't need to fly out.

What we take

If it fits in the truck and it's legal, it goes

Yes, all day

  • Furniture, mattresses, and appliances
  • Whole-property and garage clean-outs
  • Tenant turnovers and eviction clear-outs
  • Construction and remodel debris
  • Yard waste, fencing, and sheds
  • Hot tubs, playsets, above-ground pools
  • Storage unit clear-outs
  • Office, retail, and light commercial

Sorry, we can't

  • Hazardous waste, paint, solvents, and fuel
  • Asbestos or suspected asbestos material
  • Biohazard, medical waste, and sharps
  • Ammunition and explosives
  • Vehicles requiring title transfer

We'll identify these during the walk-through at no charge and point you to a licensed disposal partner.

The Shift difference

Local, family-owned, and accountable from first call to finish.

Shift is a North Orange County business built for property transitions that deserve more care than a generic hauling appointment. You deal directly with a local team that knows the job, the area, and the promise it made.

Clear communication

A real person, not a lead marketplace

Questions, estimates, and changes are handled directly—not routed through a call center or passed to the lowest bidder.

Careful work

Respect for the property and the people in it

We work carefully around the home, confirm what stays and goes, and treat a difficult clear-out with the discretion it deserves.

Serving North Orange County. Not a franchise, lead broker, or marketplace—just a local business that takes responsibility for the work.

Service area

We stay close on purpose

Our disposal site is minutes from our yard, not an hour across the county. That's why we can promise same-day and actually keep it — and why we don't stretch past North OC.

Common questions

The things people ask before they call

How much does junk removal cost in Orange County?

Ours are on this page — from $125 for a single item at the curb to $785 for a full truck, which is roughly a two-car garage. You pay for the space your material fills, not by the hour.

Most companies out here won't publish a number and will only quote after they're standing in your driveway. We'd rather you know before you call.

Will the price change once you get here?

No. We give a firm written number after a free walk-through and that is what you pay. The only way it moves is if you add to the job, and then we stop and get your approval in writing first.

Can you really come today?

Usually, yes — and that's not a marketing line. Our disposal site is seven minutes from our yard, so we turn a truck around in about 25 minutes where a company coming from central or south county needs an hour or more. Same-day is a $45 add.

Do I need to be there?

No. Plenty of our jobs are handled by someone out of state. We can do a video walk-through, send photos at each stage for approval, and take an electronic signature on the authorization.

I'm the executor of an estate. Where do we even start?

Start by not throwing anything away. Cash, jewelry, savings bonds, and original documents turn up constantly, and there may be an inventory obligation before items leave the property.

We won't begin a job until we have written confirmation of who is directing it and in what capacity. Anything of apparent value goes into a photographed hold area for you to rule on — never us. Our checklist for executors is free to download above.

Do you buy anything from the estates you clear?

Never, and we won't. We're a clean-out company, not a buyer, and we keep that line bright on purpose — nothing we recommend disposing of is ever something we profit from. It's a fair question to ask any company you're considering.

What can't you take?

Hazardous waste, paint, solvents, fuel, asbestos or suspected asbestos, biohazard and medical waste, ammunition, and vehicles requiring a title transfer. We'll identify these during the walk-through at no charge and point you to a licensed disposal partner.

Do I need to move anything first?

No. Show us what stays and what goes, and we handle the lifting, loading, and removal. If there are items you are unsure about, set them aside before we arrive.

What happens to everything you haul?

We handle items responsibly and use appropriate local disposal and recycling options. Where a donation or recycling option makes sense, we’ll discuss it with you before the job. Items that cannot be reused are taken to an approved disposal facility.
